Understanding the end-user provides a critical starting point for design thinking. We spend time getting to know the user and understanding their wants, needs, and objectives. This means observing and engaging with people in order to understand them on a psychological and emotional level. During this phase, Zyrous seeks to set aside our assumptions and gather real insights about the user.

We gather all of our findings from the research & discovery phase and start to make sense of them: what difficulties and barriers are your users coming up against? What patterns do you observe? What is the big user problem that your team needs to solve? By the end of the define phase, you will have a clear problem statement. The key here is to frame the problem in a user-centered way.

We conduct ideation sessions in order to come up with as many new angles and ideas as possible. We utilise ideation techniques from brainstorming and mind-mapping to roleplay scenarios and provocation. We use lateral-thinking techniques that challenge established beliefs and explore new options and alternatives.

A great user experience relies on so many factors, we incorporate interactions, intent, and goals for success to drive an outcome that looks and feels right and is designed in a human-centred way. We build a scaled-down version of the product; a simulation which enables us to test your ideas and designs before investing time and money into actually developing the product. The digital prototype helps us test it on real users before handing it off to the developers.
